The Tears for Fears concert was last night (Sunday) here in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum, and from the early reports, it was a kick ass concert. The band even acknowledged how much fun they had here in Manila via their Twitter account. But the night wasn't without some controversy. According to some of the concert goers, there was a moment during the performance when the crowd started to boo their displeasure.
Apparently, the reason for the booing was because Korina Sanchez was shown on the big screen (with Mar) flashing the "L" hand sign right at the opportune time when she saw herself visible to the thousands in attendance.
If she were a male, automatically we would call her a douchebag. But we can't.
Yes she is thrilled about her husband's likely win in the VP race, and of course, the Noynoy Aquino campaign. But sweet jezus lady, it's a concert meant to entertain the thousands of Filipinos watching. Maybe it's even an escape from all the political talk engrossing our country at the present time. How about you put that L inside your designer bag for just a few hours. I mean, how narcissistic do you have to be to see yourself on the big screen and think to yourself, I should pimp the "L" baby cuz this could mean more votes on Monday?
Do you think it was right to boo her? Ask me and I say absolutely.
In related news, Manny Villar was seen flaunting the "V" check when shown on the big screen at the Kelly Clarkson concert on Saturday night. Sadly, no one watched Kelly.
